Multi-objective selection of portfolios using ESG controversies

چکیده

It is increasingly common for investors to demand a certain degree of compliance and commitment environmental, social governance (ESG) variables in their investments, without renouncing maximising returns with the minimum possible risk. In this paper, multi-objective optimisation model applied Dow Jones stocks used analyse construction portfolios taking into account level controversies each asset portfolio. Controversies are associated non-compliance by companies ESG areas, either due lack dedication resources or control. The priori expected positive relationship between higher profitability low number not confirmed. This means that those highest necessarily less vice versa. finding contradicts results obtained some previous studies underline importance applying models properly investors’ preferences, including compliance.

Using Multi-Objective Optimization for the Selection of Ensemble Members

In this paper we propose a clustering process which uses a multi-objective evolution to select a set of diverse clusterings. The selected clusterings are then combined using a consensus method. This approach is compared to a clustering process where no selection is applied. We show that careful selection of input ensemble members can improve the overall quality of the final clustering. Our algo...

A Fuzzy Approach For Multi-Objective Supplier Selection

Assessment and selection of suppliers are two most important tasks in the purchasing part in supply chain management. Supplier selection can be considered to be a single or multi-objective problem. From another point of view, it can be a single or multi-sourcing problem. In this paper, an integrated AHP and Fuzzy TOPSIS model is proposed to solve the supplier selection problem. This model makes...

Evolutionary Multi-Objective Feature Selection

Feature selection is one of the most pervasive problems in pattern recognition. It can be posed as a multiobjective optimisation problem, since, in the simplest case, it involves feature subset cardinality minimisation and performance maximisation. In many problem domains, such as in medical or engineering diagnosis, performance can more appropriately be assessed by ROC analysis, in terms of cl...

Feature Selection Using Multi Objective Genetic Algorithm with Support Vector Machine

Different approaches have been proposed for feature selection to obtain suitable features subset among all features. These methods search feature space for feature subsets which satisfies some criteria or optimizes several objective functions. The objective functions are divided into two main groups: filter and wrapper methods.  In filter methods, features subsets are selected due to some measu...

Racing Multi-objective Selection Probabilities

In the context of Noisy Multi-Objective Optimization, dealing with uncertainties requires the decision maker to define some preferences about how to handle them, through some statistics (e.g., mean, median) to be used to evaluate the qualities of the solutions, and define the corresponding Pareto set. Approximating these statistics requires repeated samplings of the population, drastically incr...
